Classroom Technology Pitfalls in the Modern Classroom

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

There has never been so much technology available to teachers and students in the classroom. It's been transformative in the way we teach, learn, and assess. Now that we've had these tools in our classrooms for a number of years we are starting to see how it has impacted the classroom. Although much of it is overwhelmingly positive, there have also been some negative outcomes as well. This presentation will focus on some of those outcomes as we provide examples that will make you rethink how you use technology in your classroom or school. After attending this session you will walk away with a better understanding of when to use technology to better enhance teaching and learning as well as when technology may be a pitfall and how to safeguard against it. One major focus of this presentation will be student data privacy and security.
